I went to bed on a world that looked very solidly like Trump had won the election. It was pretty undeniable around 2:00 EST. My last thoughts we’re “various assholes have tortured me all year, can I hope for a game that doesn’t go into extra innings. Will there be a resolution that doesn’t involve lawyers and referees rehashing the rulebook?”
By the time I poured my morning coffee the answer is clear. No. 2020 will continue to suck for another month, or year, or whatever it takes. Calvinball it is. Trump voters weren’t numerous enough to simply bulldoze clear and obvious to the end zone. For that matter, Biden voters didn’t bulldoze clear and obvious to their end zone either. As Stalin said, those who vote don’t matter, those who count the votes do.
Bummer.

PA stopped counting because Trump was sweeping and they need to create more votes to counter that.
Wisconsin apparently has received over 100,000 votes over and above the number of registered voters (ya think it is fraud?) and Arizona still has about 1 million votes to tabulate.

I’ll admit I’m demoralized by the thought of another 2-3 months of “it was either the Russians or the mail in ballots or space aliens but there’s no way Trump won”… but I also am damn glad Trump is the one taking the fight to them. Trump is uniquely good at not giving up. He’s also been hammered so much and so relentlessly I’m pretty sure he just considers this another day. Most other Republicans would squish and give up. No backbone. Trump, not so much. I remember the disappointment when Al Franken, kept recounting for eight months to defeat Republican incumbent Norm Coleman… Coleman finally just gave up.
Calvinball is starting to look like a civilized, orderly game compared to the incessant nonsense spewing from the televisor I am forced to endure at work . Don’t ask me for the deeper meaning of my statement as I’m pumped fulla tequila and analgesic after a workplace owee.

I don’t think there’s anything important about making everyone on both sides even more pissed off. They already had people’s attention. I’d say that threshold was crossed years ago. As for the Woke nonsense… that’s what half (mathematically literally “half”) use to explain how the other half is either deserving of terrible treatment or their vote is somehow not a real vote. A great many Biden voters laugh at Trump voters who find mathematical anomalies in the counts while at the same time they’re convinced us dipshit rubes only voted for Trump over Hillary because Russians brainwashed us.
Even pollsters, they will be back because they serve a purpose. They fill airtime and demoralize the opposition. It’s crazy hard on a person to see a joyous 10,000 person Trump rally compared to three dozen Biden voters in a high school gym and yet Biden was reported 17 points ahead… right until they need three days to count just enough to win by 0.0001%. Statistics is not rocket science and polls aren’t wrong em masse on accident.
I always think in elections like this,”For the love of God, don’t they even try to be subtle?”.

You are right. I was selfishly hoping for a big fat no bullshit no Calvinball election win. In retrospect I realize that the other bullshit from 2020 has worn me down. It was more a preference than a likelihood.
I’m very happy Trump isn’t wimping out. I want him to fight every inch and hopefully catch every cheat. I’d like to see election cheats (regardless of who they are) doing serious lengthy time in “Federal pound me in the ass prison”.

Unless there are people remaining at the DOJ that will back Trump in truly examining and exposing the fraud, I now fear that there are no un-corrupted civil servants remaining in Washington DC and that we are in for 4 years of absolute mayhem before we get a chance at another election, if there will ever be another fair election. Vote in person, with ID and get a purple finger is the only solution. I do not wish to contemplate the other remaining solution which involves a certain oath I took in 1969. The old adage about not pissing off old men applies.
