It Certainly Looks Like This

I’ve written optimistic posts as much as I can. In many of the last few weeks months years it has been a struggle. Each time some new shitstorm arrives, the odds are a little less in our favor. The shitstorms are invented and they’re designed to keep us constantly on edge. The struggle takes the wind out of my sails. I try to write about squirrels and decide it’s just pissing into the wind. None of us is immune.

I want to smile. To embrace the suck. I don’t quit easily. I’ll grin right in the face of Satan and I swear I’ve done it. You probably have too. But it’s unwise to cross the line from healthy outlook to deluded.

We really are fucked. We have been fucked. We are likely to be fucked again. We get fucked every step of the way. Merely getting out of bed and trying to keep the lights on sets us up to be fucked over and over. The assholes who’ve never built a damn thing sure enjoy breaking civilization. That’s how we wind wind up fucked. They’ve been on a tear for most of my life and they’ll happily fling everything onto the ground. In so many places they’ve had their way until everyone is starving in mud huts. Even when they’re starving in the dark, they’ll just blame someone else. That rich bastard who grew two turnips when he only needs one. Burn the witch.

This has happened before. Fall of Rome, The Great War and then a Sequel just for fun. Imagine that. They had the “war to end all wars” and decided it was so fun they’d do it a second time. Big evil and small. The spectrum from cretin to douchebag. Stalin, Pol Pot, Venezuela, Cuba, Detroit, that bitch at the HOA.

Some men work hard to create a good life. More work hard to create hell on earth for man. One day you’re living in a warm climate awash in natural resources. You’re getting rich on oil exports and might buy a new Volvo. Then BAM… it’s over. One election. One step too far left. You’re hunkered down and wishing you’d been the clever gent who first thought of eating the giraffe at the zoo. Instead you’re the second and the question is if you’ll get knifed waiting in the food line. (Venezuela, look it up.)

It sucks. No point in pretending otherwise. The weak would tear you down so that they’d feel taller.

They did it.

It really  happened.

There really was a huge, pervasive, targeted, and effective cheat. It’s true that the contested State legislatures have done absolutely the very least possible to stand up for fair elections. It’s true that State judges have done absolutely the least they can possibly do to defend the rule of law. It’s true that the Supreme Court has been a ridiculous pile of squish… failing to defend even the shadow of a hint of the Constitution; rewriting Obamacare as needed and basking in penumbras the rest of the time. It’s absolutely true that if this thing gets as far as congress… some fucking pussy of the party of R will sell us out the minute they get a chance. They’ll fuck us up every inch of every road.

The word for this is coup. Some coups involve battleships, some use assassins, others involve computers. We didn’t start this mess. We just voted. The problem was created and dropped on our head. Those smirking assholes have no idea the cliff they’ve pushed us ALL over! (Yes, them too.)

It’s true that the media hasn’t said an honest thing in so long I can’t remember. There is no “news”. It is all propaganda; lock, stock, and barrel. At this point, even a weather report is questionable. I just want to know if I need to wear a hat. Are they honestly reporting the upcoming storm or is this another chance to hype a panic? Is it really record heat or are they flogging global warming?

It’s also true that our circle of freedom recedes. Phones spy on us. That used to be a conspiracy theory, now it’s a fact we accept.

Society is now a cage. In work you much genuflect left. In school, students must genuflect left. In any organization anywhere you must genuflect left.

Karens skulk about looking for imagined infractions of their unwritten laws. As soon as you accept one set of laws… they’ll turn the screws harder and make up new laws.

It’s true that every TV show is propaganda and every movie has a “message”. There will never again be a story that lacks a gay sidekick, a 90 pound girlpower wonder taking out six linebackers in hand to hand combat, all liberty seen with suspicion, and every rural resident invariably portrayed as a racist idiot rube.

What have we won? Aside from 2016? Not much.

Given Trump’s been in power since 2016… how much power did he really have? Russia, Russia, Russia, Nothingburger. Was Trump a temporary speedbump and nothing more?

When I started this blog I bitched about the Federal Debt. Midway through the Obama years I stopped. It’s simply mathematically impossible to resolve in any way other than collapse. Me bitching about it would be pointless now. The debt situation has sailed. Whatever is going to happen will happen. We all know that.

But…

It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness.

I light the candle, when I can. Maybe it helps. Maybe I’m blowing smoke up my own ass.

Who could know?

I’d really like to kick that football if I had the chance. But here’s the interesting part. Charlie Brown was the hero. He was the best of them all. Lucy was just a one dimensional bitch. A future Karen who’ll die alone in a condominium full of cats. Charlie was the guy we cared about.

Charlie was the hero. But he was also a bit of a dumbass. Am I hero or a dumbass? Maybe both. I wish I could find that poor boy and buy him a kicking tee.

    The Uniparty…
They lost of the 2016 election but were able to keep the footing unbalanced by 24/7 of media propaganda, legal challenges, the deep state and constant attacks for years. In the 2020 election their win was not left to chance.
The Uniparty is back in total control…

Trump has options and lots of power. There are is no shortage of smart capable folks in the right places. He has the Sedition Act(potential martial law), the 2018 Executive Order(potential martial law), judicial proceedings, all still full of potential. Lets not lose sight of the fact that all kinds of things are getting exposed. People seem to be coming out of the wood work with new shit some leftist or elitist or globohomo pulled or tried to pull. Sheeple and even Dems seem to be awakening from their stupor. It ain’t over till it’s over. Iv’e seen clusterf@cks that seemed insurmountable, “just clear up”, made me think “wow, the Lord does work in mysterious ways.” Murphy f@cks with Satan (and his minions) also. The world can take a big shit, while your AO does relatively well.
Remember…BALANCE…and SQUIRRELS. I’m old…so you can trust me (even though I’m not a doctor, or play one on TV.) Stay chipper and carry on. Hope my humor managed to leak out of that…whatever it was.

Thanks for the pep talk. I needed it.

The weekend arrives soon, I shall pour a stiff drink and say to myself “balance and squirrels” and all will be well. Here’s to good thinking.

Also “the world can take a shit and spare your AOL”, another good point. I planned for this madness so deeply I forget I’ve prepared. I “bugged out” damn near 20 years ago and live if not like a pauper at least like a cheapskate; I’ll probably be well under most likely futures. Even if half the cities in North America “peaceful protest 24/7” my big concerns wont involve them. “Hm… looks like Baltimore is a smoking radioactive crater after the latest peaceful protest. Hi hum, It’s a good day for cutting firewood.” Distance is peace.

You are neither whittling towards youself nor pissing against the wind.

There is a future out there for the productive class, those with the vision and talent to do more with less, but the hopes and dreams must be tempered with reality. The future has very little chance of resembling that which we have all grown up with and grown accustomed to, tougher in some ways but easier in others.

Those that took the advice to “collapse early and beat the rush,” those that grew up poor of resource but rich in skills, and those with a large, close family or community will have it easier. Those with normalcy bias, those that have the grasshopper lifestyle, those in largely urban areas (especially the gated estates abutting cities) and those with few real friends and family and no interpersonal skills (think of the internet bug-people that Grub-Hub and Amazon while not knowing a single neighbor) are going to have a less-than-optimal outcome.

There is a great need for sites like yours, trying to keep the spirits up of those that are destined to be the core of future thriving communities. It is going to be a very hard, very long, and very costly slog to get to the other side, if that is even possible, but there have to be torch-bearers to shine a light on what type of community is the target. A dissolved blur of same-thinking NPCs is no community to live in, just as is the community now put forward in these “united” states. A dash of spice is OK, but wondering if you’re going to get killed going to the gas station by a random stranger means there’s way too much spice in the “melting pot.”

I guess what I’m getting at is that between false-hope delusional “Trust the Plan” sites, “Do what we say because we know what’s good for you (I’m a blue-check on Twitter)” sites, and skills-equipment-strategy sites, there’s a need for an eclectic, bounce-things-off-the-wall kind of site like yours.

Things are looking dark, but the need to see how things could be, even in a little way, with nobody looking over your shoulder and “tsk-tsk”ing your every thought is a stress reliever.

The light that I see burning is it’s a huge red country.

The Democrats will go bugshit trying to implement as much silliness as they can. They’ve done it every time they’ve gotten the levers of power for as long as I’ve been alive, and I’m old. Then we’ll start seeing nullifications, and flat out ignoring their edicts. Yes we will have citizens with ID voting, and we’ll turn those others away.

What’ll they do about it? What’ll they do if states coalesce and do what they want. What’s to stop Texas from putting a tariff on goods from the cheater states? They can ignore laws, so can we. They started it.

But what really warms my heart, because it happens every time, like clockwork, is the useful idiots now become a useless embarrassment. They are starting to get the first whiffs of something anyone could see, if they wanted.

Bernie bots and the squad (with their fans) will be pulling long faces as the grift machine hits turbo mode. This isn’t what they signed up for! Their leaders will sip from the hypocrite cup, take their 30 pieces of silver and shuddup, or they’ll be stomped. The lesser apes and gibbons on the tree will get the shaft, stiff and dry.

BLM and Antifa will probably smolder. But if Harris is installed, one toe out of line and they’ll be curb stomped. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone wasn’t having the “it’s what it is” talk. The only reason they’ve been allowed to grow is orangemanbad. Orangeman gone, and they are exposed.

    As George Carlin said – “It’s a big club…And you ain’t in it” https://youtu.be/Nyvxt1svxso

And neither are they, really. Going to be funny when it’s time to feast, and these lesser buffoons are told to sit at the kids table.
