Dog Quote

Wise words from Jonah Goldberg (read it all):

“Here is wisdom: Have a kid? Get a dog. Want a kid? Get a dog. Don’t want a dog? Get a cat, which is like training wheels for dog ownership. Have a cat already? It’s probably time to get a dog. Don’t like dogs? You’re wrong.”

I like dogs, but still choose cats. Why?
Lets say you want to go away for a few days, you gotta find someone to keep the dog, board the dog, or you have to travel with the dog. However with a cat I can leave a big bowl of food and water (or leave the toilet lid open) and the cat is good. Yeah the litter box will be full and there will be a bunch of bitchin when you get back, but a few rubs to the chin and scratches to the ears and all is forgiven.

Proving not only that all you are is staff to the cat, but non-essential staff at that.

If you want to work for Leona Helmsley that’s fine with me.

      stay safe.

At least your cat doesn’t bark her head off every time she sees a terrorist squirrel…

The cat largely fends for itself, catches mice, and occasionally shows a little affection. The dog poops indiscriminately, everywhere, all the time but loves me with every ounce of its little doggie heart. Both are part of a balanced life.

Great piece…. and cats most assuredly do not scare off burglars..
