Busted Knucles: Quicklink

I have been informed that the object that did such an excellent job trashing my thumb (or at least setting the stage for mayhem) is a “quicklink”.

Do not turn your back on this object.

Do not turn your back on this object.

Looks innocent doesn’t it?  Hardly any rust right?

I’m going to hurl it into the sea.  You can never be too careful with malevolent objects.

You know that old saying about the weakest link in the chain? You’re looking at it. Never, ever use these on anything you need to be stronger than a clothesline.

Been meaning to ask about your take on Minnesota. Considering a move to the Jasper or Luverne area, and that income tax has a South Dakota boy wondering a mite about the overall cost of 7% income tax vs. the perhaps lower property and/or sales taxes. Then of course there’s Minneapolis setting policy, which isn’t much different than how they do it in Illinois. Which makes me wonder why you haven’t voted with your feet. Surely would make for an interesting post.

Dang, sorry about the thumb man.

I was wondering why in the world you would be linking to me when I saw the title of this post on my Blogroll at The Vulgar Curmudgeon.
My internet handle has been Bustednuckles for about ten years now.

“Busted Knucles, Quick Link”., you can see why I would be confused.
Now I know what it’s about!
    D’OH!!

I love the old steel carribeaners (sp?) that the army used. Faster and no tools required.

  8. Spud says:

WD-40 is not an effective lubricant nor does it protect from corrosion. It was designed as a water displacer hence the name WD . It is a great solvent, just not a good oil.
Use anti seize or grease next time

  9. wyowanderer says:

    “The replacement is stainless steel.”
That just means that it’ll gall rather than rust, together. I know, I know, I’m not helping…
