The Hardware Revelation

Being a parent; a lot of the time it sucks and other times it’s heavenly.  You’ve got to remember the best of times.  (Store them up for when they’re nihilistic overbearing teenage yahoos.)

It makes perfect sense. You'll get it when you read the story.

Wood Tape is the story of a four year old’s trip to a hardware store.  Every Dad will appreciate it.

Very good story, this dad got it.

  3. Ayuh- great story. I just couldn’t figger our how Dad missed the “I’m going to paint squares on it.” early on.
On a regular basis, I don’t think that Dad listens *that* much.

That is a four year old to watch.

I knew EXACTLY what the wood tape was, but maybe that’s because Sweet Daughter has been getting her very own roll in her Christmas stocking since she was three. That is a wonderful story. Even better than going through Toys R Us with SD holding her new toy drill telling everyone we passed that she now had a drill just like Mommy’s!

  6. Thanks for the pointout – great story!
